Having trouble communicating with your family? Me, too. So I tried something new:
I shared my thought. I didn’t repeat. I didn’t expand.
I just shared my thought.
And my daughter said, “That was a good mama moment. In fact, I think it was your best ever.”
Maybe because I just said it? No expounding the thought to boredom?
“Yes, that,” she encouraged, “and maybe because we didn’t interrupt.”
Communication. Saying what needs to be said. And listening to it being said.
That was easy!
