Homeschool Mother’s Journal: Last Friday of November

Clouds whisper peace

In our homeschool this week …

We picked up where we left off after recovery from health challenges, without fear of a nearing graduation date.  Gee, that only took ‘til 12 years to learn!  🙂

From (several) experiences like this I (finally) learned  …

Do not fear looming deadlines (such as graduation dates).  Work toward them steadily, but don’t fear them.

I am inspired by…

Women who slow down and enjoy God’s gift of life, peace, and hope and share it with others.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

December is a snuggle in and enjoy hot cider month for us, sprinkled with a few outings to our favorite orange shop memorably named The Orange Shop.

My favorite thing this week was…

Crocheting to Christmas music.  And my daughter sketching a few feet away.

What’s working for us…

Discovering our personal interests and enjoying them, even if that means in solitude.  Or quietly in another’s presence.

Questions/thoughts I have…

What will homeschool retirement look like?  Will I have enough yarn?

Things I’m working on…

A crocheted hat that insisted on becoming a tote bag.  Some fights are not worth having.  Time to adjust.

I’m reading…

Crochet books from the library by the armful for a class I’m teaching and for my own inspiration.  (Inspiration AKA streeeeeeetch!)

I’m cooking…

Not much.  Gloriously, not much.

I’m grateful for…

Cold weather.  In November?  What a treat!

I’m praying for…

a peaceful holiday season, everyone’s expectations placed gently in the manger, including my own.

Placing Our Expectations @SuzBroadhurst

And with that, I gently place my expectations in the manger, and wish you a very

Happy December-ing!

Bye for Now!
