Independent Educators-Visiting for the Fourth

Happy Independence, Home Educators!

Visit me for the fourth – fifth or sixth! – on Bright Ideas Press’s blog for a quick note with a few family tips for teaching your children home-grown American freedom with responsibility.

And see the Fourth of July wreath above – in color!

Many thanks to Petals to Picots for the patriotic wreath pattern

And to my friend, Priscilla, who inspired me to begin creating crocheted wreaths for my front door.  You both make my world prettier!

REALITY CHECK: Thomas Sowell in his book, A Conflict of Visions, has both confirmed and challenged my thinking.  Many thanks to my son who brought the book home from college and who is helping me understand some of the more complex bits of it. Sometimes we need to think about what we’re thinking to make sure what we are thinking is what we are thinking we are thinking.  And the American beauty is: We are free to do so!

Oh, and don’t forget to pop over to Bright Ideas Press!
