Operation Christmas Child: Follow Your Box Location Revealed!

Happy New Year!  I can’t think of a better way to start the year than to share this bit of geographical news.

This year, at least one of – and most likely all of – our church’s boxes went/will go to …

South Asia!

Government school

South Asia is a good-size chunk of the planet, and therefore the destination is not very specific, but Samaritan’s Purse has to remain rather general about the particulars due to the sensitive political and religious natures of the area.

But as long as they know where the boxes are going, and as long as God goes with them, and as long as the children receive the boxes – and the message of God’s love in Christ – I’m good with safety trumping knowledge.

And I’m sure she would agree …

This school was started becasue of OCC. It is a dropout and mid day meal school.

How incredible that God is wending his way down river valleys, into mountain villages, through city streets to get the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, into the hands and hearts of the people.

OCC INDIA, orphans.

Amazing that the God of the universe would take such pains.

And then … we look again … at the cross.

Aids orphans.

REALITY CHECK: It’s much easier to pack a box than to deliver one.  I am so thankful for all those who hitch up their hiking boots and trek hither and yon – and beyond yon – to deliver shoeboxes into the nooks and crannies of the globe, where God’s heart beats as strong as it does in our own land.

REALITY-CHECK REALITY CHECK:  Just because one shares her sads doesn’t mean she always is.  🙂

I sent 78 box through my church for 2014, but I never found out where my boxes went.

    • 78 boxes – that’s awesome, Carole! 78 children’s lives touched for eternity! About following the boxes, hmmm [pondering if there’s a way to find out …]. Did you provide an email address? Maybe it went to your “junk folder”? OCC may still have a record, but I don’t really know. Try contacting them here: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/contact-us/ and see if they can tell you. If that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll check with my volunteer contact.
