Make an Even Jazzier Happy Bracelet
- Worsted weight yarn (I use a lot of Red Heart Super Saver)
- Tapestry needle (eye + yarn needs to fit through bead)
- 6 plastic pony beads (Hobby Lobby has lots of colors!)
- Crochet hook (I used an I hook)
First, thread 7 pony beads on a ball/skein of yarn using a tapestry needle. Remove the tapestry needle and pick up your crochet hook.
Row 1: Using FSC stitch, make 4 stitches.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next sc. Slide bead up near hook. Ch 1 catching the yarn for the yo just past the bead so the bead pops to back (which is the right side of the bracelet). Dc in next st and in last st. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc. Skip ch-1 space, dc in next dc and in top of ch-3. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, skip 2nd dc, dc in space between middle two dcs. Slide bead up, ch (push bead to other side), dc in same sp, dc in top of ch-3. Turn.
Rows 5-14: Repeat Rows 3 & 4 for pattern until all seven beads are used.
Row 15: Repeat Row 3.
Continue along long side edge with 2 sc around each dc post.
At the short edge on the end, sc across making 2 sc at each corner.
Sc up the 2nd side as for first long side.
Connect short edges together with a sl st in ea st right sides together.
Flip right side out and you have a Even Jazzier Happy Bracelet!
Makes a quick gift for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!
