BONUS POST: Local Meeting Operation Christmas Child

Opening Doors for the Gospel

Do you shoebox? Do you wonder what all the shoebox fuss is about? Are you interested in becoming a volunteer, seasonal or year-round? Come to the meeting where shoeboxers from around the area gather!

Our local countdown meeting will be October 13, 2016 at Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL.

Feel free to bring anyone you know who would be interested in learning more about Operation Christmas Child.

Tom_Area Coordinator

In the words of one of our regional volunteers, “Let’s make 2016 the year we reach more children for Christ than ever before.”

Doors open at 6:30 and program starts at 7 p.m.

Sometimes there’s even cookies!

But always there is a passion to reach children, families and communities around the world with the Good News of salvation in Christ alone.

Shoebox Filled

Special Speaker: Yuri Lopez

Yuri (Judy) Lopez, whose parents abandoned her when she was a baby, received a shoebox at age six.

At age 13 she hit a low point in her life and ran away from the orphanage. After hours of crying and blaming God for the life she was living, she pulled out the picture of the American little girl who packed the shoebox for her, along with her note—“Jesus loves you and I love you too.”

Come and hear Yuri tell the rest of the story!

Operation Christmas Child Regional Manager, Jen McNair, will also be sharing with us the evangelistic impact of The Greatest Journey discipleship program.

We’d love to see you and any others you would like to invite!

For more information please contact Betty at 270-849-5018.

Speaking of celebrations, Happy 91st Birthday, Mom!
