  1. Hi Susan!

I am very impressed by your blog(s). If appropriate to your circumstances, would you be interested in doing a review or giveaway (or both) of Alpha-Phonics? You can learn more about us at our website above. If you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer them.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words, David. During this first year of post-homeschooling sabbatical, I am setting aside the time I used to spend perusing curriculum to peruse … well … life beyond homeschooling! If I do begin reviewing curriculum down the road, I’ll keep Alpha-Phonics in mind. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. hello! I googled “homeschool and evangilism” and thankfully your post popped up. I’m interested in knowing more experiences you had in being able to evangelize while homeschooling. my oldest will soon be 4 but I’m already actively researching our school options. it is just really important to me that our family is serious about evangelism since we will be missing out on a huge field:public school system. your insights are greatly appreciated!!!

    • Hi Lindsey, It’s never too early to begin planning for homeschooling … or sharing Jesus’ message of reconciliation. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve had so many thoughts running through my mind since reading your question. The first and foremost answer that continues to come to mind is this: Be honest about your need for a Savior. When people compliment you on how well behaved your child is, point them to Jesus. When you are in a quandary about curriculum, share your heart with the bookstore clerk. When you are shopping for back-to-school jammies (tee hee) and run into frenzied mothers seeking school uniforms, share the freedom that Christ has given you. And that’s just the tip of the evangelizing berg. Wherever humans are, humans need Christ. More thoughts to share … hmmm, maybe in a future post … ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for asking such a great question!

    Hi Suzanne,
One of my daughters is expecting a boy by the end of May.., and she asked me for a cowboy suit for his picture at the hospital. I need a crochet pattern to make a hat. Do you happen to have one..? Is there a way you can send it via e-mail..?
    Thanks for time,
